Turn on the appliance and select a heat setting suitable for your hair type. Wind a section of hair around the length of the barrel. Hold the end of the hair in place for 5-8 seconds, then release the hair section of hair. Repeat for each section of hair. Allow the hair to cool before styling. Dangerous and awful Sarah VERIFIED PURCHASE a year ago I’m pretty used to using this kind of product but this is so unsafe, I used it once and it touched my face for a microsecond and left a horrible painful burn on my cheek, because there is no grip you have to wind the fair round and hold it and there is no safe way to do this. I want to return it but the boots returns process involves printing out forms and is so much more fuss, presumably to make it as difficult as possible to return so I’m not happy with the ring or boots, I am seeing if the burn scars before deciding on what action to take next. Awkward and curls don't hold at all Kaz B a year ago I bought this item recently, the lack of clamp makes it extremely difficult to use. I have medium length hair and it curls ok, but by the time I moved onto another section of my hair the curls have dropped, spent absolutely ages a few times trying and cannot get on with these at all, a shame as feel it was a bit of a waste of money and now have to buy another set.
