Fresh, minty and energising, Peppermint revitalisies and refreshes the mind, restoring depleted energy and enhancing feelings of positivity.
Invigorating for the mind, Peppermint essential oil is mentally clarifying and clearing. It's been shown to enhance cognitive performance by improving concentration and memory, aiding clear thinking.
One of the most used essential oils for headaches and migraines, Peppermint contains menthol which has been shown to help relax muscles and ease pain. This can be useful for relieving headaches when inhaled, diffused or massaged into the areas of pain or tension. It can also be helpful for soothing sore muscles and joints when used in a massage blend.
How to use
Diffuser Blend - Add 6-8 drops of Peppermint to your diffuser to create a stimulating and revitalising atmosphere. It is also helpful to relieving the symptoms of coughs and colds.
Massage Blend - Add up to 5 drops per 10ml of blending oil. This can be relieving for muscular aches and digestive discomfort. Use with caution on sensitive, damaged or allergy-prone skin.
Bath Blend - Add 4-6 drops of essential oil to 20ml of blending oil. This application is not recommended for those with sensitive skin. Alternatively try a foot bath to cool feet in hot weather using 2 drops per 10ml of blending oil and add to a basin of tepid water, swirl around and soak feet.
Inhalation - Useful for relieving head colds and nasal congestion, add 3-5 drops of Peppermint to a bowl of hot water, place a towel over your head, close your eyes and breathe. This application is not suitable for asthmatics, instead use in a diffuser.
Hazards and Cautions
For external use only. Do not use undiluted on the skin. Keep out of reach of children.Avoid contact with sensitive areas, such as eyes.
