What this medicine is for: This antiseptic cream soothes and heals wounds, protects against infection and can be used to treat cuts and grazes, minor burns and scalds, small areas of sunburn, dry chapped skin, nappy rash, insect bites, spots and pimples. Suitable for Adults and children. Age Restriction You must be at least 16 years old to purchase this product. How to use Please read the carton carefully before use. Patient Information is updated periodically by the manufacturer. How to use this medicine: Check the tube seal is not broken before first use. If it is, do not use the cream. Apply to the skin only. Do not use repeatedly or for long periods of time. Wash hands thoroughly before and after use. Wash the affected area of skin under running water and dry thoroughly. Apply the cream gently using your fingers or gauze. For extra protection use a plaster or dressing, but burns and scalds are best left uncovered. Adults and children: Apply the cream to the affected area 2 or 3 times a day. If symptoms do not go away, talk to your doctor. If you need more advice ask your pharmacist. Hazards and Cautions Before you use this medicine Do not use: If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine You can use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Information about some of the ingredients This medicine contains Cetostearyl alcohol which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis). This medicine contains fragrance with lilial which may cause allergic reactions. If anyone accidentally swallows some: Drink plenty of milk and see a doctor if you get irritation. Possible side effects Most people will not have problems. If you get these side effects stop using the cream and see a doctor: Allergic reaction (e.g. skin rash, red or itchy skin). Reporting of side effects: If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed on this carton. Use by the date on the end flap of the carton. Precautions This is a medicine; Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist Seek advice if you suffer from allergies Active ingredients Allantoin, Cetrimide, 2-4-Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol. Ingredients Active Ingredients: Allantoin 0.2% w/w, Cetrimide 0.5% w/w, 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol 0.5% w/w. Also contains: purified water, polyethylene glycol, cetostearyl alcohol, ceresin, light liquid paraffin, cetomacrogol 1000, hyetellose, sodium citrate, dimeticone, perfume, citric acid.
