Biotrue® Multi-Purpose Solution incorporates a Hyaluronan, a lubricant found naturally in your eyes, and is balanced to match the pH of healthy tears. Biotrue® multi-purpose solution cushions and rehydrates lenses for comfortable wear for up to 20 hours By keeping lenses hydrated and clean, Biotrue® multi-purpose solution makes wearing contact lenses comfortable all day Biotrue® - a solution that works like your eyes.1,4-7 Suitable for Biotrue® multi-purpose solution is indicated for use in the daily conditioning, cleaning, removal of protein deposits, rinsing, chemical (not heat) disinfection, and storage of soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses, including silicone hydrogel contact lenses, as recommended by your eye care practitioner. How to use Directions: To condition, clean, disinfect and remove protein daily, complete these simple steps. This daily regimen is recommended by Bausch + Lomb for a healthy and comfortable contact lens wearing experience: STEP 1: Place 3 drops of Biotrue® multi-purpose solution on each side of lens and gently rub for 20 seconds. STEP 2: Thoroughly rinse each side of lens for 5 seconds with Biotrue® multi-purpose solution. STEP 3: Place cleaned contact lenses in lens case and fill with fresh Biotrue® multi-purpose solution. Soak at least 4 hours. Always use fresh solution. Your lenses are now ready to wear. If any debris remains on contact lenses, rinse with Biotrue® multi-purpose solution prior to insertion. Always follow your eye care professional’s instructions. Based upon your individual tear chemistry and lens-wearing schedule, your eye care professional may recommend additional products or procedures. If not wearing contact lenses immediately, store them in a closed lens case. Do not store your lenses in simple saline in place of Biotrue® multi-purpose solution. Saline solution will not disinfect. Lenses may be stored in the unopened case until ready to wear, up to a maximum of 30 days. If you store your lenses for longer periods of time, they must be cleaned and disinfected with fresh Biotrue® multi-purpose solution prior to lens insertion. Hazards and Cautions Warning: • Failure to discard solution from lens case after each use, ”topping-off” solution or use of water to care for your lenses may lead to contamination resulting in eye injury and potential loss of vision. •Follow the complete recommended lens rubbing and rinsing times in the product labeling to adequately disinfect your lenses and reduce the risk of contact lens contamination. Reduced rubbing or rinsing time may not adequately clean your lenses. Never use water, saline solution, or rewetting drops to disinfect your lenses. These solutions will not disinfect your lenses. Not using the recommended disinfectant can lead to severe infection, vision loss or blindness. Do not store your lenses or rinse your lens case with water or any non-sterile solution. Only use fresh Multipurpose Solution so you do not contaminate your lenses or lens case. Use of non-sterile solution can lead to severe infection, vision loss or blindness. Using your Multipurpose Solution beyond the discard date could result in contamination of the solution and can lead to severe infection, vision loss or blindness. WARNINGS: PROBLEMS WITH CONTACT LENSES AND LENS CARE PRODUCTS COULD RESULT IN CORNEAL INFECTION AND/OR ULCER AND LEAD TO LOSS OF VISION. It is essential that you follow your eye care practitioner’s directions and all labeling instructions for proper use of lenses and lens care products, including the lens case. For full safety information, please read the instructions for use. Contraindications (Reasons not to use): If you are allergic to any ingredient in this product, do not use. Important Safety Information: Always follow the product directions for use. Failure to follow product directions may lead to vision loss (blindness). Visit your eye care practitioner twice each year, or if directed, more frequently. Always wash and dry hands before handling lenses. Do not use tap water, bottled water or saliva with lenses or lens case. Only use fresh solution to clean and disinfect contact lenses. Always discard any remaining solution in your lens case after each disinfection cycle. Saline or rewetting drops will not disinfect your lenses. Always replace your solutions, lenses and lens case as directed. To avoid contamination, do not touch tip of container to any surface. Replace cap after using. Do not use any eye medication in conjunction with this solution unless under medical supervision. Not for use with heat (thermal) disinfection. Precautions: Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use. Store at room temperature. Use before the expiration date marked on the carton and bottle. Discard any remaining solution 90 days after opening. Keep out of reach of children. IMPORTANT: If irritation or excessive tearing occurs, persists or increases or if vision is impaired, discontinue use and promptly consult your eye care practitioner. Ingredients Hyaluronan, sulfobetaine, poloxamine, boric acid, sodium borate, edetate disodium, sodium chloride; preserved with polyaminopropyl biguanide 0.00013% and polyquaternium 0.0001%.
