What is ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution? ACUVUE™ RevitaLens MPDS is a Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution for soft contact lenses. It is a lens care solution that delivers exceptional disinfection and all-day comfort for contact lens wearers.¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵ It features an innovative dual disinfecting formula that’s gentle on the eyes but tough on harmful germs and bacteria, making it a convenient and effective multipurpose solution. 1 ² ³ ⁸ ⁹ ¹⁰ What makes it different from other multi-purpose contact lens solutions? Current contact lens solutions may require compromise. Peroxide solutions, though considered the ‘gold standard’ in disinfection may at times be inconvenient. Peroxides may also lead to irritation or ocular damage if not used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Multi-purpose solutions may be more convenient but may not provide the level of disinfection demonstrated by ACUVUE™ RevitaLens MPDS. The formula featured in ACUVUE™ RevitaLens MPDS provides the benefits of both- delivering peroxide quality disinfection with the simplicity, convenience, and comfort of an advanced multi-purpose solution. 1 ² ³ Is ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Solution indicated for soft lenses? Yes, ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Solution is indicated for use with soft contact lenses, including silicone hydrogel lenses.11 Can ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Solution be used with extended and daily wear soft lenses? Yes, ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Solution is indicated for soft contact lenses including silicone hydrogel lenses. 11 Can I use ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Solution directly in my eye to rewet contact lenses? No, do not put ACUVUE™ RevitaLens MPDS directly into your eye. ACUVUE™ RevitaLens MPDS is formulated to clean, disinfect, rinse, and store your contact lenses. 11To rewet your contact lenses once they’re on your eyes, we recommend using a contact lens rewetting drop. How long can you store your lenses in ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Solution? Used solution in the lens case must be discarded immediately after each use. Re-use of old solution can introduce germs. The solution bottle has an expiration date on the bottle and carton and preferably should be discarded and replaced before reaching but no later than its expiration date. It is safe for the lens to remain in the lens case with solution for up to 30 days11, as long as the case remains tightly shut until ready to insert lenses. Contact lens wearers should ensure that they wear the lenses for the recommended wear period of the lenses they are using. The lenses can be kept in solution for 30 days (per above) but this does not mean that 2-weekly replacement lenses should be worn for more than 2-weeks. The proper wear period for each patient is determined by the manufacturer and your eye care professional. How long will the bottle of solution last? Use the solution before the expiration date marked on the outer carton and bottle. Once the bottle is opened, discard any remaining solution after 90 days11. Is ACUVUE™ RevitaLens MPDS the preferred solution for ACUVUE® Brand Contact lenses? ACUVUE™ RevitaLens MPDS is a great match with ACUVUE® Brand Contact lenses.⁸ Clinical studies show that the combination of ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Solution with ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses resulted in all-day comfort and healthy ocular surface physiology.⁸ Follow the directions by your eye care professional for the proper use of your lenses and lens care products. 11 Can I use ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Solution with other contact lens brands? Yes, ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Solution is compatible with other soft contact lens brands. Follow the directions by your eye care professional for the proper use of your lenses and lens care products.⁸ Is a new lens case packaged with each solution bottle? Yes, a new case is included with every bottle of ACUVUE™ RevitaLens. Hazards and Cautions WARNINGS: All instructions must be followed. Failure to do so may result in serious eye infection or injury. If eye irritation occurs immediately discontinue lens wear and contact your eye care professional. Do not put ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution directly into your eye. Precautions: General: Use ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution with soft contact lenses, including silicone hydrogel lenses. Do not change your contact lens care system without consulting your eye care professional. Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients. Do not wear your lenses longer than prescribed. Discard any lenses that are damaged or dehydrated. Avoid using aerosols when wearing contact lenses. Attend regular check-ups with your eye care professional. Keep out of the reach of children. Use: Always use ACUVUE™ RevitaLens Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution with the non-sterile lens case provided. Do not use if tamper-evident seal is missing or broken. Always use fresh solution. Always manually rub your lenses with solution for at least 2-4 seconds before soaking. Do not swim, shower or bathe while wearing contact lenses. Do not use saliva or put lenses in your mouth to rewet. Do not use after the expiry date. To avoid contamination do not allow the bottle tip to touch any surface and avoid contact with eyes. Do not swallow the solution. Do not rinse or store your lenses/lens case with tap water. Storage: Close the bottle tightly immediately after use. Store between 5°C to 25°C. Discard Use before the expiry date on label and carton. and Expiry: Discard any remaining solution 90 days after first opening the bottle. Discard any remaining solution in your contact lens case before disinfecting your lenses again. Always discard your old lens case and use the new lens case provided.
