Acnecide Face Gel is a medicine indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate acne. Contains 5% Benzoyl Peroxide. Always read the label. Speak with a pharmacist for advice on treating your acne and if Acnecide Gel Pharmacy-only treatment is suitable for you.
How to use
Use Acnecide Gel after washing with a mild cleanser and water:
1. Dry your skin.
2. Apply the gel to the affected area in a thin layer, avoiding sensitive areas such as the eyes, mouth, inside of the nose, and neck.
3. Wash hands thoroughly after applying the gel.
4. Repeat these steps once or twice daily as required, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Skin should always be moisturised following cleansing and after applying any treatments as some products can cause dryness and redness on affected skin.
Important
When using Acnecide Benzoyl Peroxide treatments for the first time, or after a long break, it is important to read the instructions for use. You will need to build up usage carefully, starting with once-a-day application in the evening for the first few days. If your skin tolerates this, you can step up to twice daily application morning and evening.
Acnecide Benzoyl Peroxide spot treatment is also available in a wash-off format. You should not use both treatment formats at the same time. Choose which feels best for you and your skincare routine.
Purifide Salicylic Acid Power Patches are for use on emerging (non-pustular) blemishes that may have visible redness and/or feel uncomfortable to touch.
1. Stick the patch onto the blemish.
2. Leave for a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 12 hours before taking off.
3. Reapply a new patch as needed over the life cycle of the blemish.
Hazards and Cautions
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicines. Avoid contact with the eyes, eyelids, lips and other delicate areas of the skin. May bleach hair or dye fabrics. Keep out of sight and reach of children. For external use only.
