The Eustachian Tube (ET) is the body's only mechanism for equalising pressure and ventilating the space behind the eardrum (middle ear). The ET normally opens when you swallow or yawn. The Ear Popper balances pressure in the middle ear by delivering a safe, constant stream of air into the nasal cavity. During the moment of swallowing, the air opens the ET, clearing the middle ear, relieving negative ear pressure and allowing fluid to drain. In a four year study sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) involving children diagnosed with hearing loss from persistent Otitis Media with Effusion (OME), a few weeks of home treatment with the Ear Popper restored hearing to normal in 85% of patients in the experimental group compared to 25% in the control group, without antibiotics or vent tubes.
How to use
Hold nosepiece firmly against nostril opening - creating a tight seal. Plug the other nostril closed.
Push button to start the airflow and swallow while the device is running.
Repeat on other nostril
After 5 minutes, repeat steps 1 - 3. This will complete one treatment.
