Vaginal dryness is a common symptom of menopause, but can also occur as a result of childbirth, during breastfeeding, after taking oral contraceptives or at times of stress. This lack of natural moisture can lead to discomfort, itching and irritation.
Boots Menopause & Me Vaginal Moisturising Pessaries are a long-lasting product that are easy to use. They contain Hydeal-D®; a derivative of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural moisturiser, that adheres to the lining of the vagina helping with repair
Suitable for
Menopausal women, women with vaginal dryness, women using oral contraceptives, new mums, breastfeeding women, anyone recovering from cancer treatment.
How to use
The use is recommended at bedtime following these instructions:
1. Wash your hands and the area around your vagina carefully.
2. Tear off one pessary from the perforated strip.
3. Hold the plastic tabs and pull apart gently, without opening the wrapper completely.
4. Gently remove the pessary from the wrapper.
5. Place the pessary on the tip of your fingers to prepare for insertion into the vagina.
6. Preferably in a supine position, insert the pessary gently into the vagina as deep as it will comfortably go. It is advisable to keep the supine position, to optimize the product action and to avoid accidental leakage of the product.
Hazards and Cautions
This product is for vaginal use only.
In cases of vaginal infection, consult your doctor before using this product.
In patients with particular individual sensitivity to any component of the formulation and/or at the beginning of treatment, transient vaginal burning or heat sensation may occur. In case of persistent burning, it is advisable to discontinue the treatment and to consult your doctor before using the product.
This product is compatible with lubricated/ non-lubricated latex, polyisoprene and polyurethane condoms.
Do not use concomitantly with vaginal products containing quarternary ammonium salts (for example benzalkonium chloride), because they can interact with hyaluronic acid. Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged, as this may compromise the integrity of the plastic wrapper.
Do not discard the empty packaging in the environment.
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
