Boots Bump & Beyond Folate is formulated with Advifolate TM, a source of L-5 methyltetrahydroflate (5-MTHF), a body-ready form of Folic Acid that’s easy to absorb into the body due to its high bioavailability. Folic Acid must be converted by the body before it can be used, however 5-MTHF bypasses this conversion as it’s in a form the body is ready to use. It is recommended to start taking Folate 400 µg 3 months before conception and during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Bump & Beyond Folate contains 400 µg, the Government recommended level to support maternal tissue growth. Low Levels of folic acid risks the development of neural tube birth defects, such as spina bifida. Free from Artificial Colours, Flavours and Preservatives. Lactose Free.
